When Newman/Redford's "Butch Cassidy..." debuted, Richmond VA's crack movie critic, RIP, gave it 2 1/2 stars. "Nice effort, but they didn't quite pull it together." When it comes to people(in this case, critics and 'experts'), nothing of importance changes.

After all. ... after disastrous failures over the milennia, some folks are still Socialists.

The massive new tax bill signed into law by President Barack Obama is filled with all kinds of holiday stocking stuffers for businesses: tax breaks for producing TV shows, grants for putting up windmills, rum subsidies for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

When productivity is penalized by taxation, and idleness is subsidized, we get less of the former, more of the latter. Which begs the question, "Why do politicians trade off the former. to our detriment, to have more of the latter?" They're not ignorant. All for votes that keep them in power, make them all millionaires, and attractive to the shabby side of the opposite sexes.
